Maso Poli Riesling comes from a vineyard situated on a top of a hill, at an altidute of 700 m a.s.l. m, on the slopes of Mount Calisio in Cagnola di Trento. The volcanic soil, rich in basalt, gives the wine its typical elegance and structure.
Manual harvest of ripe grapes. Reductive winemaking and cold maceration on the skins for about 12 hours. Soft pressing and cold fermentation at a controlled temperature of 13°C for about 20 days. Refinement in stainless steel tanks for 6 months on the lees.
Straw yellow color with greenish hues. The nose is intense, with fruity aromas and slightly aromatic, mineral hints. On the palate it is dry, pleasantly fresh, of great elegance.
Best to consume when young. If well conserved, it’s a wine with a long life, showing an increasing structure and minerality with aging.
Excellent like an aperitif, it is also perfect with important dishes like raw seafood, oysters, truffles, raw trout filets, fried frogs, snails; herbs risotto and grilled fish.
50 – 54 F. – Uncork at the moment of serving.
